The software that powers Mugshot is 100% open source, including the client and the server.

We run this project as an open community on the Internet. So you're welcome to join us - browse around the site, and if you find something interesting, join in!

We're also interested in open content and ways to incorporate it into Mugshot.

Potential contributors should be aware that there will probably be a commercial aspect to Mugshot eventually. We want to be up-front about this, though we can't predict the details yet. Right now we're focused on creating a great user experience and strong open project. If we're successful, we'll look for commercial directions compatible with that.
