Mugshot Client
From Mugshot Developer Wiki
When we say "Mugshot client" we mean our software running on people's computers, as opposed to the web site. The client talks to the server via a protocol built on XMPP.
There are two versions of the client, a Windows frontend and a Linux frontend, which share a common backend library.
The client software includes a grab-bag of stuff such as browser plugins, music player plugins, the tray icon, and so forth.
We don't use the term "client" anywhere non-developers would see it... we usually just say "download now" or "get the Mugshot tray icon" or something like that.
