Mugshot is a 100% open source project.

The majority of the Mugshot Windows and Linux client software is licensed under the GNU General Public License 2.0.

The majority of the server software is licensed under the Open Software License 3.0. Some smaller parts of the server software are licensed under the GPL, Apache License, and other licenses.

Consult the LICENSE and COPYING files accompanying the source code for definitive license information.

We currently request that source code contributions to the Mugshot open source project be submitted under the MIT License for maximum flexibility.
