Jive Wildfire is an XMPP server written in Java; see the project home page.

Mugshot uses a modification of Jive Wildfire, where users are users from the Mugshot site, and chats are around Mugshot shares and groups. See our custom protocol documentation and this overview of the server architecture.

Mugshot is in no way endorsed by or affiliated with Jive Software but we have found a lot to admire in their Wildfire codebase, so check it out.
